The Weekend Warrior Went to Antarctica
Diamant was founded on a basic principle: anyone can go on an adventure and we're going to make the gear you need to get there.
You want to book a last second trip out to Colorado because it just dumped two feet? We have the boot bag for you.
Just because you live in the heart of New York City, doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be gear to get you to where your inner Indiana Jones desires.
So when Josh Kling approached us about using our bag on a ski trip to Antarctica, we all perked up.
Josh reached out and said he loved our bag and wanted to use it on his travels to Antarctica (yes, freaking Antarctica) where he runs a ski trip with Iceaxe Expedition.
That might have been the quickest yes in Diamant history. We instantly became one of Josh’s brand partners.

Fast forward to October, when the expedition actually took place, and via IG we watched our Weekend Warrior go from the US down to Argentina and then even further to Antarctica. Josh carried the bag onto every flight, making sure every piece of gear made it with him.
I can’t imagine there are many rental shops down by the South Pole.

The Weekend Warrior started in Durango, hopped through Denver, Houston, and Buenos Aires, then pushed all the way to the end of the world in Ushuaia. From there it boarded a ship, crossed the Drake Passage, skied the Antarctic Peninsula for a week, and then made the entire journey back home.
Pretty damn awesome.
Seeing photos of Antarctica and knowing that the product we launched was just chilling there helping someone travel was a surreal feeling.
We are looking at photos of penguins and our boot bag is just there. In one of the most remote places on the planet.

WTF.
But the best part of the trip came at the end, when we heard from Josh. He loved the bag and said it got comments across all 39 legs of the journey.
Hearing that sort of feedback will never get old.

At Diamant we preach adventure. Our mission goes further than just a good boot bag. We want to make any adventure, planned or spur of the moment, accessible to everyone.
Whether that adventure is just going from your corporate office out to Utah for a quick weekend of skiing or an elaborate ski trip planned throughout the alps, we want to be a part of it.
So getting the chance to help someone travel from Colorado to the literal edge of the world?
Dream come true.
