New Product Testing: From Boston to the Alps
The best part of leaving corporate America and choosing to build Diamant full time has been the freedom to travel.
Building a travel-based brand means every trip becomes a work trip. Sure, it also means I’m constantly trying to get content every time I find myself in an airport, but that’s a trade-off I’ll gladly make.
Why is this relevant?
Well, last week I took a trip with a few friends to Europe.

But this was no ordinary trip. I had the chance to test a brand-new product.
If you’ve been following along, you may know where I’m going with this.
No, not the ski or snowboard bag. Although that’s coming.
For the past few months, we’ve been developing personal-item-sized travel bags to complement our carry-on boot bags.
Dubbed the Voyager Series, the line includes a personal-item travel backpack and a duffle.
This trip was focused on testing the Voyager Backpack and making sure it could handle everything from airports to the side of a mountain.

First, let me explain the purpose of the Voyager.
Over the past few years, we’ve heard two consistent themes:
-
People use their Weekend Warrior on non-ski trips as their primary travel bag and love it.
 -
People wanted a smaller, personal-item-sized bag to go along with their carry-on boot bag.

So, we got to work creating a bag that blends the strengths of the Weekend Warrior with the smaller footprint of an everyday travel pack.
Conceptualizing a new design is one thing. Testing it in the real world is an entirely different experience.
The bag went from Boston to NYC via Amtrak, across the pond to Zurich on a Boeing 767, and through Switzerland and Northern Italy via EuroRail (which, for the record, is so much better than what we have in the US, but that’s a conversation for another day).

It went on a hike in Grindelwald, where it also stored wet clothing from my buddy and me after a questionable dip into a mountain lake at the end of the trail.
Yes, we used a tarpaulin interior, the same as in our Weekend Warrior, to ensure the main storage compartment could handle literally anything.
Easily one of the colder decisions I’ve ever made.
The Voyager stored my passport, laptop, sunglasses, toiletries, and every other essential I could throw at it.
It fit under the seat on multiple flights, both international and domestic.
The Voyager has enough room to pack for a trip and the durability to take on anything your adventure throws at you.

You can pair it with the XL for a ski trip or with a duffle for a long weekend hiking the Green Mountains.
I think you’re starting to get the point.
Okay, great. This all sounds amazing.
But is this bag available? Well… no. Not yet.
Our goal is to launch this bag in early April 2026.
Naturally, we’ll give you all the chance to get the Voyager Pack (and the Voyager Duffle — more on that soon) through pre-sale.
Details will drop in the coming weeks. Quantities will be very limited.
But for now, all you need to worry about is booking that ski trip.
See you on the slopes.
