Diamant's Top Mountain Snacks
Listen, we don’t judge a good old pocket tender.
But if you're in the business of having snacks that don't call for an early nap time, I've put together a list.
Theres a nice mix here. Some classics and some newbies I've fallen in love with. Anyways, here are my top five ski snacks for the lift.
Smackin’ Sunflower Seeds
This may be unconventional. Granted, it takes a second to actually enjoy a sunflower seed and when its -2 it's all that easy. But on days when I can actually enjoy a snack on the lift, these Smackin’ seeds literally smack (haha). My go-to is the Garlic Parmesan. They’re light to carry, easy to share, and perfect for killing time between runs.
Chomps Beef Jerky Sticks
Pull out a bag of jerky on the lift and suddenly you’re feeding the whole chair. Your $20 bag is gone before you even get a bite. For the health-conscious, they’re grass-fed, zero sugar, and made with no weird additives. Toss one in each pocket and you’ve got protein-packed fuel that survives as long as you do.
Jams Protein PB&J
Think Uncrustables, but all grown up. These little sandwiches pack 10 grams of protein, skip the junk ingredients, and taste exactly like the PB&J you crushed as a kid.
Pro move via me: stash one frozen in your pocket and let it thaw by the time you’re on your third run.
Mush Protein Bars
I first knew Mush for their overnight oats, but their new protein bars are the real deal. My favorite is Maple Cinnamon—they’re soft, clean, and give you 15 grams of protein with no refined sugar. They launched in Whole Foods this season, so stock up before your next ski trip.
Made Good Granola Bars
I actually found these by accident when a friend left one in my Weekend Warrior boot bag (true story).
Granola bars are a non-negotiable ski snack, but if you’re looking to switch it up from the usual Nature Valley or Clif Bar routine, Made Good is a solid choice. Organic, allergy-friendly, and packed with hidden veggies (my mom would be proud), they hit the spot when you just need something simple and quick on the lift.
So yeah, no shame in the pocket tendy.
But if you're trying to avoid the lodge lines and get in a few extra runs, these snacks are bangers.
See you on the slopes.
